Journal — Thursday, September 3, 2026
Thursday was mostly about who does what on the agent team, and dusting off autonomix-cli.
Hermes’s 5am Hey journal job failed again on model drift (it had been pinned to an old xAI setup and the host had moved), so I handed that job to Admin: every morning at 5 it covers the previous day, keeps anything I already wrote, and merges in team and machine notes. I also locked Admin in as coordinator. Spin up teammates when the work fits them, and when a job is better on Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Codex, or Hermes on Omarchy, call those CLIs instead of only suggesting I switch apps. Research pulled a fresh routing map the same day so that handoff is grounded. Persistwise stayed quiet.
On the machine I spent the morning with Claude on autonomix-cli. The repo needed a tooling pass, so we fixed owner inconsistencies, updated dependencies and CI, corrected GoReleaser archive keys, and shipped v0.3.1 for Linux packages. I also set git to always use the anonymous ninepointlabs noreply email. Midday I checked that omostrich-db was still running.
Packages landed too: flea (a keyboard-first Omarchy file manager), a small Edge bump, the official ChatGPT/Codex desktop app, and Bedrock on Linux so Minecraft Bedrock can run with native Microsoft login. gnome-keyring-daemon dumped core again in the morning and once more at night. Hermes hit a usage-credits wall trying to retry a brief to Roy, and spent the afternoon under memory pressure. Voice’s morning draft menu failed on a provider overload; the late-afternoon one came back with Pleb One invites, the Ted Lasso theme, Persistwise’s triple archive, and Ring Cameras.
