Journal — Wednesday, September 2, 2026

Wednesday was an Omostrich day. The landing page went up on omostrich.com, Omostrich-DB got its first pass for local Nostr stats (with a noisy libsodium build hiccup along the way), and I reworked the plugin toward marketplace submission with a small MCP so other tools can check status and publish.

I had Claude help prove the publish path with a test note, poke at an Omarchy plugin-marketplace issue, and dig into gnome-keyring-daemon. That daemon dumped core more than once through the day, including evening crashes Claude looked at. Hermes kept running in the background; its 5am Hey journal job failed again on model drift, so that entry never landed from that side. It also hit an xAI spending-limit wall and a few Anthropic rate limits while I was working.

On the agent team side, Voice got retuned to watch omostrich.com and ninepointlabs.com (and relay.pleb.one) with morning and late-afternoon checks only. Marketing hit an X enrollment wall and we walked a clean reconnect. I also closed out all eleven open Dependabot PRs on the archived Zaprank repo.

Evening updates were a Brave bump, an archlinux-keyring refresh, and a Claude CLI bump (2.1.258 to 2.1.259). No reboot. A lot of shipping for one weekday, and Omostrich feels like a real product on the machine now instead of just a tray idea.
