Monday was almost entirely the Nostr chip on the bar. I started with posting notes from the desktop and ended the night with a name that actually fits: Omostrich.

I folded compose into one ostrich icon so I am not running two trays for one identity. Images go up through Blossom. Settings stay collapsed until I want relays or alerts. Mentions and zaps can toast, and I can turn that off.

Remote signing works from the browser. Super+N opens a compose overlay. Getting the cursor into that field took more than one try. Unlock can last five minutes or a whole day, my pick.

I asked for a security pass too. Passphrases no longer sit on the process command line. Then I renamed the whole stack, including the GitHub repo, to Omostrich. The vault moved with it. The bar bird went missing once because a file did not get copied, then it came back.

A lot of plumbing for one day. It feels closer to how I actually want to use Nostr on this machine.
